Hi. these are wonderful! I was wondering when the remaining concepts will be available? Because, I know we all have so much free-time. 🙂
are you going to post period 5 and beyond soon?

Thank you
whats up H. Norris!
wat up ! :3
Hello Adam,
I want to thank you for the Mrs. Vaughn “shout out” on your Period 4 video. I really appreciate that. My students are getting so much out of your videos and so am I! We love our Henry Clay poster, which is hanging up in my classroom. I wish you and your students tons of luck this year.
Thanks again,
Jamie Vaughn

Thank you again for all your support. Good luck this year!
These videos for the new curriculum are perfect! thank you so much!!
Thanks for watching. Good luck!
Please put up a video for key concepts 4.3!
Within a day or two it’ll be up. Good luck!
Hey! The Key Concept video for 4.3 is not showing up. Would you be able to send that as well as the fill in guide to me? Thank you!
It’s up right now. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for these informative overviews on the key concepts. A quick question about your own class: do you still go chapter by chapter in a text book or do you let the key concepts drive the content your students focus on?
Thanks!
Hi, I still go chapter by chapter. I make sure that during the chapter (typically 1 per week) I suppliment the content with the new curriculum. Typically, I save the concept videos for review before a test. For example, this week’s chapter includes the Missouri Compromise, so students will watch a video on that at home and we will spend an entire class reviewing it.
Hope that helps, if not, let me know.
Good luck!
Adam
Thanks for your quick reply! I’m having difficulty matching Key Concepts to book chapters, which is why I wrote you. Was wondering if I should let key concepts drive the content students focus on.
Also, do you have your students outline chapters? I’ve just been quizzing them on each chapter.
Thanks again,
Kim
I have also found it’s not that easy. I still teach my class by chapter. I make sure to hit on the key terms while teaching the chapters (for example, the American System.) I use the key concept videos as review before the tests. I hope this helps!
Hello!
I am an APUSH student and my teacher advised us on using your review videos before tests. We use the Brinkley textbook so your videos by chapter have helped me a lot with a quick outlined review. Just today, however, I noticed this section in which you discuss the new curriculum. You said in your into video that you think it is necessary for everybody involved in APUSH to get a copy of said curriculum. I was wondering where I could find this and if you could post a link? Maybe I just need to search your site thoroughly…
Anyways thanks for the awesome review!
Hi! That’s great to hear your class is using my videos; please thank your teacher for me. I didn’t have the curriculum on my website before, but I just put it on the home page. Good luck!
These are great! My peers and I love your videos!
That’s great to hear. Thanks for your support. Good luck!
Two quick questions as I try to figure out the best method of preparing my students for the new test:
1. Do you use document based multiple choice questions on all tests? And are they from your textbook publisher?
2. Do you give tests based on book chapters or APUSH defined Periods?
3. Do your students outline the book chapters?
Thanks again….
Kim
Hi Kim, here’s what I’m doing:
1. I only use the new format questions. I received a cd at a summer institute with new questions by time period. I’ve been using those, and review books I bought for tests and quizzes.
2. I only do tests based on the new time periods.
3. Yes, I have my students outline the chapters in the book each week.
Hope that helps,
Adam
I was wondering where the nullification crisis video was, you had mentioned it in the American System video and could not find it.
I’ll put it on this page right now. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi! I take APUSH at Milton High School. My teacher, Coach Locklin, has us watch these videos religiously. It really helps with understanding the concepts and going in depth in debates and stuff. My teacher really loves your videos so I was wondering if you could give a shoutout to his class. It would mean a lot to me. And if you could, there is a classmate who wants us to call him NightHawk so if you could add that in as well that would be great. Hope to hear from you in reply!
Rebecca
Absolutely. I’ll do it in the Key Concept 7.2 video. It won’t be up for a few weeks, but I’ll be sure to do it. Thanks!
Hey, just wanted to drop this comment to let you know how much your videos have been helping me with my APUSH tests! Thanks for taking the time to make these, I know that I’m not the only student in my class who really appreciates your videos! 🙂
Thank you for writing this. I’m really glad to hear that. Good luck!
Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these videos! They are extremely helpful and I really appreciate them!
I appreciate your support. Good luck!

This has been helping me so much considering I am a student- please send a shout out to Tim Daley in the period 6 videos. He’s a great teacher, thanks Mr.Norris and shoutout to Mr.Daley!
Henry Clay feels a little overrated if you ask me. But thanks for the videos 😀
Well done sir! Your videos have helped me (1st year APUSH teacher) guide my students toward a lot of great stuff!
Do you have an idea about when your revised videos for Period 4 will be out?
Regards,
GB
Denver, CO
This weekend I will. Sorry, I’m running a little behind.
Is this the most up-to-date version for the revised curriculum of 2015?
Hi,
Your work around tying the Key Concepts together has been a great compass for my students and I. Thanks for all you do!
Any ideas about when the revised portions will come out for Period 4?
This weekend I will. Sorry, I’m running a little behind.
Hey, I was wondering if you were going to post the most updated period 4 videos soon? Thanks
This weekend I will. Sorry, I’m running a little behind.
Thanks for the guides! Is there a way I can get the Key Concept 4.1 Fill in the Blank Guide?
Give me a day or so and it’ll be up. Thanks
You are a rockstar!
Do you have the fill-in-the-blank handout for the latest curriculum for Key Concept 4.1? The link seems to be missing. Thanks!
APUSH Review Key Concept 4.1, revised 2015
It’s up now!
Hi Adam! First off, extremely thankful for your videos and the plethora of resources you are so generously sharing. I was hoping to download your video guide for Key Concept 4.1 but there is no link for me to download. I am not sure if someone has already asked or mentioned it but how can I get that link for my students to review Key Concept 4.1 revised guided notes?
Thanks again!
Thanks for making your videos and power points available for APUS History teachers and students to use. Another APUS History teacher in Maury County, Tennessee told me about your website and I have been using your videos and powerpoints to review each unit before taking a test on the unit. They are a great resource. Thanks again for making them available. We are currently reviewing Unit 4 and have finished your new revised 4.1 video and powerpoint. I wanted to check and see when you think you will have Key Concept 4.2 and 4.3 up on your website?
Thanks,
Mr. Slaughter
APUS History teacher Santa Fe School, Santa Fe, TN
Hi Mr. Slaughter, thanks for using this website, I appreciate it. I uploaded 4.2 and 4.3 this weekend and your students requested a shoutout to you. Good luck!
Adam-
I just tried to download 4.2 and 4.3 powerpoints and when I opened them in PPT it said some of the text, photos, etc. are corrupted and it replaces them with blank slides. Have you heard of anyone else having that problem?
I just uploaded them again. Hopefully that’ll work.
Hello! I take APUSH at Cerritos High School. My teacher, Mr. Armstrong, has us watch these videos frequently. It really helps with understanding the concepts and going in depth.
